who we are

About us

Artmoving was born from a natural need to connect the community of parkour enthusiasts and create a space where people can learn, share and push the boundaries of their own possibilities together. Our journey began in 2012, when Jakub (Jim) Dohnal organized the first parkour competition in the Czech Republic. What was an event for a few dozen enthusiasts at the time gradually grew into an organization that today organizes trainings, workshops, camps, exhibitions and competitions throughout the country.

For over a decade, we have been dedicated to developing parkour as a movement discipline, lifestyle, and community under the Artmoving brand. Our mission is to inspire people of all ages to move, develop themselves, and discover their abilities – whether in training, on the streets, or on the competition stage.

Jim is one of the pioneers of parkour in the Czech Republic – he had his first public performance in 2008 and hasn't stopped since. He is behind the development of the parkour scene, the education of trainers and the building of the community that today forms the heart of the Artmoving project.

Today, Artmoving is more than just a team or an organization – it is a community of people who share a passion for movement, creativity and freedom. Together, we create an environment where everyone can grow – regardless of age, experience or goals.

Manifesto

The idea behind Artmoving when it was founded in 2012 was to connect a community of people with a passion for movement and its freedom. Freedom of movement is not movement without rules, but respect for the rules that the individual sets for themselves. It is about humility towards oneself, one's abilities and one's body. It is about respecting others and supporting and learning from each other.

The main goal of Artmoving is therefore to help create opportunities to share the joy of movement and fulfill the need for freedom.
